Dunnings Engineering Services, as it has always been known, was founded by the late Ken Dunning in 1951. From a humble beginning in the backyard of suburban Adelaide, South Australia, cutting blank steel plates for automobile number plates and manufacturing his own clear flow water softener, the company moved to larger premises in the mid 1950's until the present site was built in 1968.

Further land acquisitions have allowed the site to grow to 1.1 Hectares and provided support for the company to become a nationally recognised manufacturer and distributor of Builders and Plumbers hardware and sheetmetal pressing and fabrication services.

The customer-focussed ideals instilled by the founder have enabled the company to be flexible and responsive to the needs of its customer base and expand into many industries throughout Australia.

Dunnings Engineering Services owns and operates its own fully equipped sheetmetal, cutting, folding and pressing facility supported by a complete range of metal manufacturing processes.
